The Bar Exam TemplatesBelow we have provided three of our Bar Exam Writing Templates: Criminal Law (the entire subject), Criminal Procedure - 4 th Amendment and Criminal Procedure - 5 th Amendment.
NOTE : The headings that are used within the templates are the same headings that we suggest students use on their bar exam answer. The columns under a given area (for example in the Criminal Law Writing Template, under "Inchoate Crimes" you will see Solicitation, Conspiracy, Attempt) will represent the options that you may have to discuss under a given area. You may not have to discuss all of these areas in one exam. However, it is important to see where you may be responsible for discussing a given topic and the order in which you should be prepared to discuss the material. For example, the very first area that an examinee should always address when writing a Criminal Law exam is the area of Inchoate Crimes and Accomplice Liability. This is because culpability for the remaining crimes will most often depend upon some form of Inchoate Crime liability or Accomplice Liability. By practicing and memorizing the material in the order of its likely appearance on a bar exam essay you will be able to write bar exam essays quickly and effectively while analyzing a high number of issues. This is the key to success on the essay examination. |
